Spring & Summer Intensive: Cabinetmaking Course for Beginners

This is a hands-on course for people who are truly passionate about woodworking and cabinetmaking.

If you’ve always wanted to learn the fundamentals of cabinetmaking — from dovetails and grooves to wood finishing, expansion, and drying — this is the perfect place to start.

Two weeks of intensive work, side by side with people who share your mindset, building a beautiful wall cabinet from scratch.

What will you learn in this beginner cabinetmaking course?

  1. How to select lumber: drying, acclimation, and board selection
  2. Drawing plans and cutting lists; planning joinery and expansion
  3. Squaring and flattening the wood
  4. Basic cabinetmaking joints (reinforced miters, dovetails, grooves, dowels)
  5. Safe use of cabinetmaking machinery
  6. Use, adjustment, and maintenance of hand tools
  7. Fixing imperfections and making corrections
  8. Fitting doors and drawers
  9. Installing back panels
  10. Finishing techniques for your furniture

Depending on your pace, you may also explore advanced joints, tool sharpening, or machine maintenance.

Duration & Price – Intensive Cabinetmaking Course

2 weeks, Monday to Friday, 9:00–15:00

6 hours per day – total of 60 hours

Price: €1230 (max. 4 students per class)

*Includes all materials, wood, machinery access, tools, and accident insurance

Payment, Reservation & Cancellation Policy

To reserve your spot:

You may pay the full amount upfront if preferred

50% deposit is required before March 1st (Spring edition) or June 1st (Summer edition)

Full payment must be completed 2 weeks before the course starts

Cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations after the deposit deadline will result in a loss of 50% of the total fee
    • The remaining 50% can be applied to a future session, but is non-refundable
  • Cancellations after the final payment deadline will result in 100% loss of the reservation

Once you book, you’ll receive an email with bank details to make a transfer.

Your spot will be confirmed once you send us the payment receipt.

You have 2 business days to complete the transfer after booking. Otherwise, your spot will be released.

What’s included in our Spring & Summer Cabinetmaking Intensive?

  • All consumables: wood glue, masking tape, sandpaper, wood blocks, finishing oils, shellac, varnishes, specialty adhesives
  • All wood for your project, including any extra wood for joints or decorative details (based on the instructor’s criteria)
  • Access to hand tools and cabinetmaking machines
  • Accident insurance
  • Project storage for the duration of the course + 1 extra month (if you choose to continue in our year-round monthly course)
